Austin Gahafer
Austin Gahafer (BS, NSCA-CPT) is the Director of Sports Performance and a Certified Personal Trainer at CTSP. Austin has always had a deep-rooted drive for sports and competition, which has inevitably led him to his coaching role at CTSP.
Education and Athletic Background
Austin Gahafer is a graduate of Morehead State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. At MSU, Austin had a decorated collegiate career playing quarterback for the Eagles from 2013-2016. As a four-year starter and captain of the football team, Austin broke numerous school and Pioneer Football League records. Austin is the current career leader in passing yards, completions, attempts, and total offense for both the school and PFL. In 2015, Austin was awarded PFL Offensive Player of the Year and was a Walter Payton Award Finalist.
After his career at MSU, Austin went on to play professionally for two seasons in both Italy and Germany.
Experience
Sedentary lifestyles and poor health choices are a growing issue in America. Since 2016, Austin has worked with a wide variety of people to help combat this problem. Austin’s specialties in training include injury rehab, weight management, strength and conditioning, and sport specific training. Being a versatile coach, Austin has always taken pride in being an inquisitive student of human performance to help his clients reach their individualized goals.
